I’m on the journey with a new record! It’s a long time coming but for those of you who don’t know me well, the collaboration and opportunity to work creatively with others is truly what drives me in this art form. The working title of the project is HERStory and it celebrates women composers and lyricists from many different musical genres. I have favorite songs on this record by Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Luciana Souza, Inga Swearingen, Esperanza Spalding and Blossom Dearie with arrangements by Peter Eldridge, John Daversa, Steve Guerra, Greg Jasperse and myself. The voice is a prominent element and I’ll be featuring many of my amazing and cherished vocal musician friends on this as well. I’ll keep you posted as I continue to bring this to fruition!
